brad bolton > Brad, performing his infamous "chicken dance" in a washroom in Indianopolis. While in the Army band, I performed the chicken dance several times for school kids at concerts - until the CO said "Uh, this is not a proper representation of the Army" I think he was just chicken ;o)
brad bolton > My mom, Jean Bolton, at my house in Indianapolis.
brad bolton > My house in Indianapolis, while in the Army. Note oil heater, the only heat source for the house. On cold days, we'd find ice at the base of the front door - and that was only one foot from our bed, which was on the floor.
brad bolton > The Indianapolis house, with the bed near the door, and my wife at the time, Annette. The house was basically one room with a divider for a kitchen. And a little back room for toilet and water heater. If you were on the toilet when the water heater turned on, look out - flames would engulf your ankles. Cool !
brad bolton > My sign on my barracks door. Probably my first visual artistic expression.
brad bolton > Polly, Carl Gulliver's sweetheart at Ohio Wesleyan. We were in Whitey's Bar - a skylight highlighted her face. I love this photo.
brad bolton > Reed Noss in his Ohio Wesleyan room, 1971. A unique person who played a unique guitar style a la Captain Beefheart.
brad bolton > reed noss in his room at Ohio Wesleyan. Beefheart would have been proud.
brad bolton > The Statesmen, a band I was in in high school. We played every weekend at "Club 221" in Pepper Pike. Ya had to be under 21 to get in the club (no alcohol), hence the name. This was our business card. Dig the mod jackets and shirts !! Cool, baby !!
