brad bolton > Kent area photo
brad bolton > I had been planning this shot for a year - had the basket and goodies set aside. Finally found a good subject on Lake Street in Kent. I moved it to Hodgman Lane to avoid traffic (and getting yelled at). Happy Easter !
brad bolton > Meet the Gourdinis - proud papa Gordon "Ghoulie" Gourdini on the left, the ever-inquisitive son Grant, and the demure Gertie.
brad bolton > Bill Bakan, of Maize Valley, atop his pumpkin cannon. Ya gotta see it in action 2 believe what it can do.
brad bolton > Saw this one-off carcycle thing at Acme in Kent. Lots of junkyard parts in this thing. The grill is some old grating, the frame is big steel tubes on top and bar steel on bottom. There no instrument panel or dashboard. Speedometer, idiot lights, etc. are all in the black box between the top of the seats. I think the box was the bike's original instrument panel. I wouldn't turn around to see how fast I was goin', though. The 3-piece windshield is a nice touch - scrap was riveted together and put to good use.
brad bolton > The "doors" are tubes that can be swung away to get in the thing. There is a "floor" for the passenger- the small steel plate visible. Driver's side? No such luck - no floorboard - there is a rubber mat attached to the front of the car, but the back of the mat drags on the ground. The GoldWing's accelerator, brake, tranny and clutch are operated remotely by foot pedals on the driver's side. Oh, and one stick shift. I didn't see a place to support your feet under the pedals, though. You can see the handlebars still in place on the bike.
brad bolton > The bike end of the carcycle. Or is it a billytrike? Honda CivicWing? Ya think it's legal to ride the bike part of this thing? Is *any* of this thing legal? I guess - a license plate is on it.
brad bolton > Ice carving, Kent, sponsored by North Water street Gallery. A black squirrel atop a huge nut.
