brad bolton > Chagrin was prettiest to me when lake effect snowstorms dumped bieg snows. Early in 2006, before the house was sold, I got to experience my last Chagrin snow. Taken in Thoren's field facing south.

brad bolton > After the felt was removed, the 3 slate slabs were revealed. Plaster had been placed to fill in the gaps between the slates, and over the screws that held them in place.
brad bolton > Hauling the slates up the stairs. Sharon helped with the first slate, but I realized that Shawn could use more help, so I helped haul the last 2 slates. They seemed to be about 175 pounds each. Not as bad as I feared - I read that they would weigh 300 pounds each.
